These are out of copyright and in the Public Domain. So you are free to alter them as you wish. This is the first time the general public has access to original librettos for the theatrical works of Victor Herbert. They were created by various authors including Harry Bache Smith, Henry Blossom, Rida Johnson Young, Fred DeGresac and numerous others. This is the Public Domain full libretto for Victor Herbert’s The Tattooed Man which opened in February of 1907. It starred Frank Daniels as Omar Khyam, Jr. You can read more about this operetta in the VHSource Newsletter Vol 1 Jan 11.
