Should you be purchasing an original libretto so you can work on improving it yourself, it will need to be typed again and rough guesses made on some pages. These are out of copyright and in the Public Domain. So you are free to alter them as you wish. This is the first time the general public has access to original librettos for the theatrical works of Victor Herbert. They were created by various authors including Harry Bache Smith, Henry Blossom, Rida Johnson Young, Fred DeGresac and numerous others. This is a photocopy of the Public Domain libretto for Victor Herbert’s 1905 operetta Miss Dolly Dollars. The libretto and lyrics were written by Harry Bache Smith and starred LuLu Glaser as Dorothy Gay (Dolly Dollars). There is a piano/vocal available in the P/V section of Shop Vhsource as well as the individual songs, “Ollendorf Duet” and “A Woman Is Only A Woman but A Good Cigar Is A Smoke” in the Individual Song Section.
