Here you can find numerous types of interesting journeys into the type of products Shop VHSource offers other than individual songs. We are very proud that we have more photocopied original librettos for sale than any other site on the web.
These are photocopied original piano vocal scores of Victor Herbert theatrical works. They have been carefully photocopied one page at a time so they they can printed out as many times as you need, marked up and used in an actual rehearsal. In most cases song numbers match the orchestra scores. If you number the measures of these PVs, and the measures in the score, they should match.Madcap Duchess

Description
This is a photocopy of the piano vocal score for No. 32, Herbert’s The Madcap Duchess, which opened on the Broadway stage on November 11, 1913 in the Globe Theatre (today the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre at 205 W. 46th Street). The operetta was actually based on a novel by Irishman Justin Huntly McCarthy (1859 –1936) entitled Seraphica (1908). McCarthy was assisted by David Stevens in creating The Madcap Duchess libretto and lyrics. The producer was Harry H. Frazee (1880-1929). Fred G. Latham was stage director, Max Hirschfeld began in as musical director but it was Robert Hood Bowers who opened on Broadway. The work is set in the Paris of Louis XV with scenery a la Watteau.
