Description

A photocopy of the original piano/vocal for the duet “Good-a-bye, John” from the 1906 Herbert operetta The Red Mill. This duet is sung by characters Con Kidder and Kid Conner (famous vaudevillians Montgomery & Stone). Both men are Baritone/Tenor range.  The song is in the key of G moving into E flat in the chorus – all in the treble clef.  It’s range is F to E flat. Read more about this operetta in Vol 11 Nov 10 of the VHSource Newsletter. This song is one of the rare songs that Herbert appeared to have arranged rather than written. It’s actual composer is one of two sets discussed in the above mentioned newsletter.
