Here you can find numerous types of interesting journeys into the type of products Shop VHSource offers other than individual songs. We are very proud that we have more photocopied original librettos for sale than any other site on the web.
These are photocopied original piano vocal scores of Victor Herbert theatrical works. They have been carefully photocopied one page at a time so they they can printed out as many times as you need, marked up and used in an actual rehearsal. In most cases song numbers match the orchestra scores. If you number the measures of these PVs, and the measures in the score, they should match.Fall of a Nation

Description
Public Domain – The hard-to-find piano/conductor scores for the 9 major music cues for the original film score for the 1916 sequel movie to D.W. Griffiths’ The Birth of a Nation. Created by Thomas Dixon, author of The Clansman which served as the basis for both films, The Fall of a Nation would unfortunately slip very quickly from American Film History. Mr. Dixon both wrote the screen play and directed the movie, having learned all he needed to know (so he thought) while watching Mr. Griffith direct the first film. Once again, Herbert was tied to less than stellar script writing.
If you have never seen this movie, you are not alone. Long gone and forgotten, it still holds some importance in film history since Herbert’s work opened the doorway for the huge film scoring industry which exists today by showing that music could be written just for film. Prior to this achievement, scores were nothing more than compilations of existing music chosen for their appropriateness for each scene.
Yes, the orchestral parts do exist and will be coming soon.
