Here you can find numerous types of interesting journeys into the type of products Shop VHSource offers other than individual songs. We are very proud that we have more photocopied original librettos for sale than any other site on the web.
There are two types of librettos in this area: Photocopied and Clean Typed. Photocopied materials are from the original material and is often tough to read. Should you be purchasing an original libretto so you can work on improving it yourself, it will need to be typed again and rough guesses made on some pages. These are out of copyright and in the Public Domain. So you are free to alter them as you wish. This is the first time the general public has access to original librettos for the theatrical works of Victor Herbert. They were created by various authors including Harry Bache Smith, Henry Blossom, Rida Johnson Young, Fred DeGresac and numerous others. There are no librettos in this category which have been rewritten by librettist Alyce Mott.Alice and the Eight Princesses

Description
This is the Public Domain photocopied libretto for Victor Herbert’s operetta Alice and the Eight Princesses. This libretto opened on September 14, 1905 in Buffalo, New York. The critics loved the work and it moved next to Chicago where the critics hated it. By the time it moved to Broadway, it had become Wonderland, Herbert had re-written half of the score and this libretto was never produced. That is, until 2002 when Constantine Grame found the deleted PV pages and restored the PV. PVs for both titles are available but VHS is still searching for a libretto for Wonderland. For now, if you would like to know more, peruse Vol 9 Sept 10 – VHS Newsletter.
