Public Domain - Here is a photocopy of the 1906 original libretto for the Dream City portion of Dream City and The Magic Knight. The Magic Knight is the 25 minute opera spoof of Lohengrin which originally was embedded in the second act of Dream City. Written by Edgar Smith, both pieces are satirical looks at the the modern city and all its cultural aspects. The Magic Knight exists only in piano/vocal form at this time. Look for a typed libretto coming very soon. In the meantime, enjoy this parent piece. |
