Photocopy of Public Domain piano vocal score for Victor Herbert's Little Nemo, first produced October 20, 1908 at the New Amsterdam Theatre in New York City. It's one of the earliest representations of a Broadway operetta based on a comic strip - Little Nemo. According to Edward N. Waters, the work aimed at being the "largest musical production ever attempted in this county." It's actually more an "extravaganza" than a true operetta. Short on plot, the work jumps through Little Nemo's dreams which take him to "Dreamland" and the "Princess."
